Icon of Abstract Art: In memory of Antoni Tàpies (1923-2012). Spanish painter, sculptor and art theorist.

His works are famous by the textures, the use of different materials and the sober use of color. He began his career inspired by the difficult times of the Spanish Civil War and the Catalan nationalist movement. Letters and crosses were common in many of his paintings…
