Inspiration by his own words: “I paint error, the process of constructing the image, all the fragments that make a picture are important to me. My influences, the streets, Francis Bacon, Jean Michel Basquiat, Propaganda, Lucian Freud, CY Twombly. Literature like Henry Miller, Jack Kerouac, music from Luis Alberto Spinetta.”

Goya, Los Desastres de la Guerra: The full series of prints “The Disasters of War,” 1810-1820 by the Spanish artist Francisco de Goya are on display at the Calderón Guardia Museum in San Jose, Costa Rica.
Chronology of horror. In 80 prints, Goya portrays with chilling realism of violence, injustice, humiliation, pain and destruction that leaves behind the war. Aquatint technique.
These works have as their starting point the war waged by Spain against France between 1808 and 1814 to defend against the Napoleonic invasion.

Chagall Retrospective: For more than eighty years Marc Chagall (1887-1985) cultivated an art practice inspired by love, memories, Russian and Jewish traditions, and the historical or artistic events he witnessed and in which he often played a part.
